Center Administrators
	Welcome to the 292-BABY Community! In Monroe County there are approximately 250 not-for-profit and proprietary child care centers combined, caring for thousands of our children. The administrators of those programs are responsible for the quality of those programs and consequently need help planning for the professional development of their staff. Maintaining ratio, substitute care and transportation all represent challenges to administrators when staff seek training during the workday. We ask that you REGISTER with us (you’ll need an email address) so that we can make you aware of new opportunities as well taking part in our surveys so that we might better serve you. We NEVER share your registration information with anyone.
The following support services are available to you: 292-BABY – Call this free telephone service from 8:00 AM to midnight Monday through Saturday and 8: 00 AM to 8:00 PM Sundays to talk live with a pediatric nurse about any NON-EMERGENCY child-related issue. Early Care and Education – Connects to the website developed by the NYS Council on Children and Families Head Start Collaboration Project to support professional development and improve the quality of early childhood and school-age programs. It is designed to provide a one-stop source of information for those exploring careers in early childhood and school-age programs as well as those already working in the field and looking to advance in their careers. It also contains information that supports the efforts of program directors and others to improve the quality of their programs. Career Development Resource Guide, Training Resource Database Core Body of Knowledge and much more Academic Advisement – talk to a professional academic advisor Register – connect with the Early Education Professional Development Institute Educational Incentive Program (EIP) – more than 90% of childcare professionals are eligible for a college scholarship Televised monthly meetings – live 30-minute, interactive television production each month broadcast over Cable Channel 4 reaching 210,000 homes in Monroe County. Forums – chat with other center administrators.
